Reacción al ataque mortal a trabajadores de Oxfam en Gaza
Desde Oxfam en América Latina y el Caribe condenamos enérgicamente el asesinato de nuestros colegas en Gaza, cuatro ingenieros de agua y trabajadores del municipio de Khuzaa, que colaboraban con nuestro socio estratégico, la Coastal Municipalities Water Utility (CMWU). Este ataque agrava la crisis humanitaria en Gaza, donde el acceso al agua potable ya está gravemente comprometido. Los ataques a la infraestructura civil y a quienes la mantienen son violaciones claras del derecho internacional humanitario.
Nos solidarizamos con las familias de las víctimas y con todos los trabajadores esenciales que arriesgan sus vidas para mantener en funcionamiento los servicios básicos en Gaza. Nos sumamos al llamado global de Oxfam para abrir una investigación independiente y demandamos un inmediato cese al fuego que está cobrando la vida de civiles.
