Ante las diversas modalidades de estafas utilizando el nombre e imagen de Oxfam, señalamos lo siguiente:

Oxfam en América Latina y el Caribe no realiza cobros por ningún tipo de ayuda, tampoco ofrece ni gestiona donaciones vía Whatsapp ni a través de aplicativos. De la misma forma, no realiza donaciones a personas naturales. 

Nuestro trabajo lo realizamos a través de organizaciones socias y aliadas, enmarcado en los marcos estratégicos de cada país en que Oxfam opera.

Estos mensajes fraudulentos a menudo llevan el nombre y el logotipo de Oxfam y parecen ser comunicaciones autorizadas de Oxfam. Recomendamos a todas las personas que reciban este tipo de mensajes que estén especialmente atentas cuando interactúen con terceros por correo electrónico, Internet, teléfono o SMS. Terceros fraudulentos que se hacen pasar por Oxfam pueden intentar obtener su información personal o financiera o aprovecharse de usted para obtener beneficios económicos.

Si usted ha sido víctima de alguna de estas modalidades de estafa, le recomendamos que presente una denuncia formal ante las autoridades competentes para que se investigue el caso y tomen las medidas necesarias.
